As the time goes by, members of public started to gather around our booth and started folding !!! Some even folded many flowers, and not just one flower. They did that as they wanted to do something for the kids :) :):)

At the end of the day, the works are filled with flowers, folded by the members of public. Compare the panels as before and after the event and see how they have evolved into visually enhancing works. Each flowers carry the wishes that members of public wish to convey to the kids.

We are very glad that the project went very well and the response from the public was very overwhelming. At the moment, the works are still in the process of touched up and they will be ready for sale by the end of the month. For interested parties, you can contact us at projectspring09@gmail.com for purchasing details and donation.

Again, we would like to thanks everybody including CCF, SP volunteers, HCI boys and every single person that folded the flowers. :) :):)

Those are out presentation photos of our booth. Notice the use of pots ? They symbolize the grounds where new seeds will grow into plants. Just like out project, our first bazaar is a ‘spring’ for our future journey into the hearts of the beneficiaries in Children’s Cancer Foundation.
The inspiration of our booth comes from our first theme Oriental. Notice the origami on the cards ? They are children in japanese costume, our first limited edition postcard as well as cherry blossom and kimono bookmarks !!!

Our next MAAD bazaar will be on the following dates :
4th and 5th July
redDot Museum, Maxwell road ( nearest mrt : Tanjong Pagar )
10.00-19.00

Do check out the creative works of the kids on that day as projectSpring will proudly present artworks done by the kids. They are up for sales, so do not miss to adopt their creative works :) Also, dont forget to ALWAYS drop by our monthly booth at MAAD for surprises and new cards !!!!

Last but not least, thank you for everyone who has kindly donated to CCF. We hope to seek more of your co-operation in the future :) :):)

23th May marks the beginning of our petproject, and Spring is determined to make the 4 months ahead enjoyable and immensely satisfying. We hope to actively engage schools and institutions, corporations and companies, exisitng voluntary bodies, beneficiaries, caregivers, as well as members of the public, in the planning of what next steps to take.

Cards, merchandise, while profitable, they are omnipresent. Moving away from trite banality, we hope to adopt a brand new original approach in this project, for afterall social-entrepreneurship must be more than simply making petty money in un-inspiring and not so novel cirumstances. We hope to expand on that.

Origami is tedious, a painfully painstaking process, and that is the very spirit the team wishes to bring across to the public. Childhood cancer is much akin to the above. With faith, strength and immense family support- the above goes a long way and makes a tremendous impact on the child.

With that, Spring is currently sending out emails to potential sponsors and customers, and do drop us an email if you wish to be on our contact list. Meanwhile, all the best and take care!

projectSpring humbly commences this project with the release of ORIENTAL theme. This Saturday 23rd May 2009, projectSpring is officially giving out 100 postcards designed by artist William Chua ,which are decorated with an origami design. The origami are folded by volunteers as a sign of dedication and determination in this project.

Why ORIENTAL ?
Oriental is associated with celebrations. We are celebrating the creativity of our beneficiaries. The kids after all, are like any normal kids out there.
Secondly, we  want to emphasize the idea of origami. Origami takes a huge role in this project as the process of doing the craft has many advantages along the way. Origami connects the beneficiaries, volunteers and parents together and bond them under a family of determination throughout the folding of designs. Also, many origami is a result of collaborative effort, thus we want to show how we are determined as a family to bring joy to the beneficiaries in CCF.
Thirdly, Oriental represents Singapore both geographically and culturally. Oriental is not restricted to mainly Chinese and Japanese but covers the entire Asia. A sense of unity is formed and isn’t that what projectSpring is aiming to do ? To unite the community to aid CCF beneficiaries in various ways.

With that, we are proudly releasing our first product on 23rd May 2009, Saturday
